ColourSpun Pure Cotton  is hand dyed. We use only the finest quality, mill spun, non mercerised, pure cotton thread;  which we colour to complement our range of cotton fabric and yarns .  Each bobbin of #8 or #5 cotton embroidery thread is already wound for your convenience, so that you can get straight to stitching!

We choose the finest quality, natural and locally grown 100% pure cotton and have it mill spun to our specification.  We use an earth friendly process and dyes  to hand dye our huge range of colours. They are OEKO-TEX and Bluesign certified,  so you can be sure that they are earth friendly. Our special dye methods ensure that each strand will have its own unique characteristics.

It’s an eco cotton – biodegradable and hypoallergenic, so good for you and the environment too!

There are over 500 colours in our range,  see our inspiration here . As with all yarn and threads, dye lots vary, so we urge you to order enough pure cotton embroidery thread for your project. If you don’t find the colour you’re looking for, we will have a go at creating it for you.

Washing Instructions

We recommend that you hand wash in cool water or machine wash using the wool or delicate cycle and then dry flat.  See full washing instructions here

Delivery:

We hand-dye, air-dry and handball all the thread for Pure Cotton Embroidery Thread Five. Please allow two weeks for production before shipping – the quality is worth the wait.
