Lets Talk Purple

Lets Talk Purple Kit contains enough yarn to make Hilda Steyn’s beautiful pullover.

This is a Measure & Make pattern, which means you can knit this in any weight yarn, with any size needle, for any body size. That said, due to the vast difference in head to body ratio between adults and babies, this pattern is not suitable for babies and toddlers.

As it is a Measure & Make pattern, I cannot predict your yarn usage. The sample was made for a 105 cm bust measurement and required 1150 meter of yarn. The sample was made with Colourspun Cotton Aran and Colourspun Lace Kid Mohair.

This bulky top is ideal to match with another thin top underneath, and leggings.

It is knitted top-down without only small seams under the arms, and without any stitches that must be picked up. Double Moss Stitch gives interesting texture on the collar, the sleeves, down the sides and as a bottom border.

The top can be made to any length you prefer; it will look just as good cropped, or on the hips.

 NOTE:

Lets Talk Purple Kit is a yarn only kit, you will need to purchase the Lets Talk Purple Instructions in order to make the pullover/sweater.

The design is fully size inclusive and adaptable to really fit your body, which means you measure, and you make – Made to Measure!

Care/Cleaning/Storage Instructions:

Hand wash in cool water. Dry flat. Store with a little scented soap or camphor wood blocks.

Kit contains:

• Small – 15 x 50g ColourSpun Pure Cotton Aran plus 8 x 25g Kid Mohair Lace – brushed
• Medium – 20 x 50g ColourSpun Pure Cotton Aran plus 10 x 25g Kid Mohair Lace – brushed
• Large – 25 x 50g ColourSpun Pure Cotton Aran plus 14 x 25g Kid Mohair Lace – brushed

If you prefer, you can choose your own colours from the over 450 Pure Cotton Aran colours and the Kid Mohair Lace – brushed colours.  Let us know which colours you have chosen in the notes at checkout.

This is a Measure and Make pattern, so, although the yarn amounts have been calculated, they are still just an estimate of what each individual garment will require.

Not included:

•  5mm knitting needles
• Other notions – scissors, sewing needle

Delivery:

We hand-dye, air-dry and handball all the yarn for Lets Talk Purple  kits. Please allow two weeks for production before shipping – the quality is worth the wait. This is a yarn only kit. The Pattern is available from Hilda Steyn’s Pattern Shop
