Moanzi Crochet Blanket Kit

Moanzi Crochet Blanket Kit has all the yarn you need to make this beautiful crochet throw from Hilda Steyn.

This blanket is crocheted in only one stitch pattern: daisy stitch, also known as star stitch. Hilda is very much against baby blankets that have holes all over, as her oldest daughter nearly lost a finger due to her finger getting stuck in a hole of a baby blanket, cutting off the blood flow. Since then, she is a firm believer in dense baby blankets.

Star stitch is ideal to achieve that goal. Not only is the blanket much safer, but also much warmer. It is also slightly heavy, making it a perfect swaddle blanket as well.

Moanzi is a bit bigger than a traditional baby blanket, so it can be used for much longer.

Size:

Approximately 140 cm x 115 cm.

Care/Cleaning/Storage Instructions:

Hand wash in cool water or machine wash using the wool or delicate cycle(colour catchers are recommended.) Do not use bleach. Dry items flat, out of direct sunlight and ease into shape if necessary. In order to achieve a more professional finish, blocking is recommended. Store with a little scented soap or camphor wood blocks,  as they help keep pests away.
