Knitapotomus the Knitted Hippo

Knitapotomus the Knitted Hippo, designed by Heidi of Heidi Bears, is an easy to make soft toy for children of all ages. Heidi is the original designer of the African Flower motive animals.

NOTE:

This is a yarn only kit. The pattern is available from Heidi Bears 

Skill level:

Intermediate to advanced. “This does not mean that newish knitters will not be able to make Knitapotamus…it just means they’ll have to practice some of the techniques a bit and take it slowly 🙂 I have tried to give as much detail as possible on the required techniques, so that newbies can learn too…”

Size

Knitapotomus the Knitted Hippo measures approximately 24cm nose to bum and 11cm high at the shoulder.

Care/Cleaning/Storage Instructions

Hand wash Knitapotomus the Knitted Hippo in cool water. Squeeze gently, do not twist or wring. Dry flat on back. Rearrange stuffing if necessary when dry. Store with a little scented soap or camphor wood blocks

Kit Contains

• 2 x 50g Pure Cotton Sock/4ply

OR

• 2 x 50g Pure Merino Sock/4ply

Not included

• 2mm circular knitting needle.
• Pure Merino Fibre Fill stuffing
• Safety eyes

Delivery:

We hand-dye, air-dry and handball all the yarn for the Knitapotomus the Knitted Hippo kits.  Please allow two weeks for production before shipping – the quality is worth the wait
