Child’s V-neck Vest Pattern

Child’s V-neck Vest Pattern

The Child’s V Neck Vest is a free children’s knitting pattern from ColourSpun, designed to knit up quickly and fit little ones from newborn right through to age 3 to 4 years. Worked in stocking stitch with a double rib hem and neckline, this is a straightforward pattern that produces a practical, comfortable vest that works equally well on a cool day or layered under a jacket in winter.

Knit in ColourSpun Pure Merino DK or Pure Cotton DK, this pattern is a great way to explore our range of over 500 hand dyed natural colours. Whether you choose a bold tonal, a soft variegated, or a classic neutral, the simple construction lets the yarn do the talking. The vest is worked in two pieces and finished with a gathered shoulder seam that gives it a neat, classic look without complicated construction.

This free pattern is part of our Free Crafting Resources library at ColourSpun, where you will find more free knitting and crochet patterns using our hand dyed natural yarns. It makes a wonderful handmade gift for a new baby or growing child, and is practical enough to knit in multiples for charity donations.
