Her challenge was to make little crochet squares, I decided to make them flowers. \u00a0I have been making these little flower squares in between other things for quite some time now. They are a great \u201con the go\u201d project, perfect for TV crochet, chatting on the phone, waiting in queues \u2026<\/p>\n<p>There are eight different flower squares and two different background squares. Make all of them or only the ones you like. How many you need will depend on what you decide to make.<\/p>\n<p>The Wildflower Grannies are great stash busters, they need very little yarn for each section. You can use any weight yarn but use the same weight for the centres and the squares, to keep them all an equal size.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/colourspun.com\/shop\/product\/wildflower-grannies-kit\/\">Wildflower Grannies Kits<\/a> are available or you may prefer to choose your own\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/colourspun.com\/shop\/product\/pure-cotton-dk\/?v=68caa8201064\">Pure Cotton DK colours.<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Language<\/h4>\n<p>Wildflower Grannies &#8211; CAL Instructions are available in English only.<br \/>\nThe pattern uses US terms<\/p>\n<h4>Skill level:<\/h4>\n<p>Confident beginner<\/p>\n<h4>Size:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scatter Cushion Covers\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Small \u2013 40 x 40 cm, Large \u2013 50 x 50 cm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knee Rug <\/strong>86 x 106 cm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rectangular Throw\u00a0 <\/strong>117 x 156 cm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Square Afghan\u00a0 <\/strong>144 x 144 cm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>You will need:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>ColourSpun Pure Cotton DK (OR yarn of your choice) \u2013 how much you need depends on your project, the yarn you choose and your personal tension.<\/li>\n<li>Crochet hook size to suit yarn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below I have detailed the amount of yarn I used for the squares I made. Use this as a guide only as your tension may be different.
