Aine – An Irish Lass knit doll kit<\/p>\n

Aine, (awn + ye) is an ancient Irish name that means \u201csplendour, radiance, brilliance.\u201d Aine<\/em> is associated with midsummer and the sun, was a Celtic Goddess of summer, wealth and sovereignty and also a Faery Queen. She is sometimes represented by a red mare and appears in folktales as \u201cthe best-hearted woman who ever lived, lucky in love and in money.\u201d<\/p>\n

This little doll has knitted fingers, toes, ears and a nose. The mouth, eyes and eyebrows are embroidered on and the hair is knotted to the head.<\/p>\n

Hand wash in cool water. Squeeze gently, do not twist or wring. Dry flat on back. Rearrange stuffing if necessary when dry. Store with a little scented soap or camphor wood blocks in order to repel any pests.<\/p>\n
