    Description

    Cotton Scintilla Sport weight is a beautiful yarn that is mill spun from the finest quality, natural and locally grown 100% pure cotton and a slither of viscose, in order to give it a scintilla of shine.

    We use an earth friendly process and dyes that are OEKO-TEX and Bluesign certified to hand dye our huge range of colours. Special dye methods ensure that each strand will have its own unique characteristics.

    Our mill spins our cotton yarn for softness and then specially plies it to prevent splitting, which makes it equally good for crochet, knitting and weaving. It’s a natural cotton, which means it’s biodegradable and hypoallergenic,  so, it’s good for you and the environment too!

    ColourSpun Colours

    There are over 500 colours in our range,  see our inspiration here . Cotton Scintilla yarn is hand dyed in batches of 5 skeins, but we can dye larger batches on request.   We urge you to order enough yarn for your project, because as with all yarn, dye lots vary.

    If you don’t find the colour you’re looking for, we will have a go at creating it for you.

    Washing Instructions

    ColourSpun is a registered user of the Cotton Mark which is the certifying mark for pure cotton.  Cotton Scintilla consists of 80% Pure Cotton and 20% Viscose and carries the Cotton Blend Mark of quality.

    We hand dye on order, so please allow two weeks for production before shipping.

    International orders may incur import duties and/or tax and clearing fees. The recipient of the shipment is liable for all such fees. *Orders to the USA under 800usd and AUS under 1000aud typically incur no customs duties.
